The journey to brenn. started when Edvard Smith Save and Rémy Malchère Pettersen met at Lillestrøm Videregående. "Do you play the drums?" Edvard asked. That was the start of a friendship between two quite different types with the same beating heart for punk wrapped in pop melodies.

In 2023 brenn. released their second album "Vandrer på solskinn". The album is an unparalleled demonstration of power that shows a mature playfulness worthy of rock, and is the ultimate follow-up to the debut album "Elsker" from 2019. "Elsker" brought brenn. their first Spellemann-award in the category "Rock of the Year", and in addition they were nominated in the category "Newcomers of the Year".

The breakthrough year 2019 was busy for brenn. on the live front as well; they've played at packed club stages and festivals in Norway and topped it all off with the Roskilde Festival. The band's terrific live show has taken them on tours with Honningbarna and Pom Poko, and led to a nomination for "Live of the year" during P3 gold in 2019. Live, the duo has a full band with them, where humor and spontaneity are central to their concert philosophy.
